Alison Litchfield is a healer and master yoga instructor with over 25 years of experience teaching. She is an ERYT 500 Yoga Instructor and founder of Embody Yoga School. She has lead Teacher Trainings for 8 years and leads workshops and retreats both locally and internationally. She draws on her years of study in Rolfing, Energy work, Yoga and food as medicine. She has studied in depth with many inspirational teachers, Richard Freeman, Shri K. 100 Hour In-Depth Yoga Immersion ~ Yogi Training
Yoga contains within it, the seed of who you are at the essence of your being. It is the practice of self-awareness beginning with focus or what we call in Sanskrit, Sankalpa.
The invitation begins by taking a breath, finding a soft smile and becoming open and receptive. Yoga begins in the NOW, the present moment where we allow our limiting beliefs and limitations to dissolve. In this space, we align ourselves in the postures, bringing awareness to our breath, sensations in the body, our thoughts, how we feel, setting a foundation for transformation to occur.
This 100 hour immersion into yoga is for anyone interested in deepening their understanding of yoga and how to start understanding the connection of the body to the mind and spirit. It is the first part of the 200 hour teacher training but is not required to do the entire training. We meet for 3 weekends plus there is some homework in between modules.
