An Evening of Heart-Opening Connection, Music & Deep Rest
Join long-time friends and yoginis Alison Litchfield and Kari Schein for a nourishing evening of cacao, song, and sound as we come together to slow down, open our hearts, and reconnect with ourselves and one another.
We’ll begin by sharing ceremonial cacao, inviting warmth, presence, and an openness of the heart. From there, we’ll explore the healing power of our own voices through simple, accessible singing and chanting—no singing experience necessary.
We’ll then settle into a deeply restorative sound journey, allowing the rich vibrations of the harmonium, didgeridoo, and singing bowls to wash over us, inviting relaxation, spaciousness, and inner stillness.
This is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of life, soften into the present moment, and experience the beauty of gathering in community.

At Roots & Wings, we believe yoga is more than a physical practice—it’s a pathway to greater awareness, balance, and connection.
Yoga is not simply something we practice on the mat. It is a way of living, relating, and coming home to ourselves.
Explore the relationship between body, breath, and nervous system health. Learn practical tools to recognize stress patterns, support regulation, and cultivate greater resilience in everyday life.
Discover the body’s interconnected fascial network and how it influences posture, movement, and sensation. Drawing on principles of Rolfing® Structural Integration, explore new possibilities for ease and freedom of movement.
Integrate concepts from Rolfing® Structural Integration into your yoga practice. Understand how gravity, alignment, and whole-body coordination create ease or effort. Learn to see and address compensatory patterns in your body and your students if you are a yoga teacher.
Explore a compassionate, choice-based approach to yoga that honors the connection between trauma, the body, and the nervous system. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and somatic awareness, learn to cultivate safety, rebuild trust in the body, and support greater resilience and self-regulation.
Reconnect with nature’s rhythms through seasonal yoga, breathwork, Yin, and restorative practices. Learn to honor the changing needs of your body and cultivate balance through life’s seasons.
Whether you’re new to yoga, a longtime practitioner, or an experienced teacher, our workshops offer a welcoming space to explore, learn, and grow. No prior experience with Roots & Wings is necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to deepen your connection with yourself.
Those Seeking Lifelong Health & Vitality who want to take a proactive approach to well-being through mindful movement, nervous system regulation, stress reduction, and practices that support healthy aging.
Workshops are offered in multiple formats to accommodate your schedule:
All workshops provide Yoga Alliance-approved Continuing Education (CE) hours that count toward your RYT or E-RYT requirements. Certificate of completion provided at the end of each workshop.
Living Your Yoga is a 25-hour immersion rooted in nervous system regulation, seasonally informed practice, and Rolfing® principles of fascia, structure, gravity, and relationship.
This training explores yoga as a lived, embodied practice that supports how we move through daily life, not only what we do on the mat. The curriculum draws from time-tested wisdom traditions that observe how the body responds to rhythm, change, and stress, without adhering to a single system or diagnosis.
Practices are guided by nervous system awareness, natural cycles of rest and activity, and the qualities that cultivate balance, resilience, and vitality over time.
Living Your Yoga is designed for practitioners seeking to deepen their relationship with yoga, aspiring teachers, and current teachers who want to ground their teaching in embodied understanding rather than technique alone.
These training hours may be added toward a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Boulder Yoga Studio or logged as continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance for Registered Yoga Teachers.
ROOTED is a five-week journey designed to help you better understand your nervous system, release accumulated tension, and cultivate greater resilience and ease in everyday life.
Blending therapeutic yoga, breathwork, somatic movement, and nervous system education with the timeless wisdom of yoga philosophy, this experiential series offers practical tools to help you move out of habitual patterns of stress, overactivity, or shutdown and toward greater balance.
Drawing on Polyvagal Theory, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, and seasonal wisdom, we’ll explore how to recognize your body’s signals, respond with greater awareness, and develop practices that support your physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Selected workshops are offered in online or hybrid formats. Check individual workshop descriptions for format options. In-person workshops provide more hands-on learning, while online options increase accessibility for distant students.
